Explore Edinburgh during your visit!

Edinburgh is widely regarded as a world class destination for both leisure and business visitors.  We are delighted to host the 19th Meeting of the European Association for Haematopathology 29 September  – 4 October 2018 and are greatly looking forward to welcoming you to our fine city!

Whether you choose to stay a little longer or discover the city in the evening after the conference, you will be spoilt for choice.  The Scottish Capital is a historic playground full of wonderful attractions, leading restaurants, world-class entertainment and a wide-range of shops.

With two distinct areas: the Old Town and the New Town, Edinburgh’s unique architecture has earned the city’s status as a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Explore the medieval Old Town and discover Scotland’s most popular visitor attraction, Edinburgh Castle or stroll along the cobbles of the Royal Mile and Grassmarket.   A stone’s throw away you’ll find the Georgian New Town – wander along one of Edinburgh’s trendiest streets, George Street, full of contemporary restaurants, bars and designer shops.

So switch off your work phone, pick up a dram of whisky and stay a while…!
